Yesterday at 8:30 am, we decided to go beach camping… in 3.5 hours π
From booking the campsite to departing, we randomly packed and shoved everything in the car.π
We scored a beach front spot on the sand and it was amazing. πππ
However, we forgot a sleeping bag and pillows πβοΈ
So there were three sleeping bags to go around for the four of us. Luckily an adult was able to squish in with a kiddo…
We also didnβt realize that the fire pits didnβt have grate grills for cooking over the fire…oops π
So a last-minute trip to the store allowed us to get charcoal for grilling our dinner…ππΌββοΈ
The nearest grill was super far away, so I learned how to use a cast iron Dutch oven right on top of coals…π₯π
This whole trip reminded me that having an epic life with kids requires flexibility, a good attitude and unwavering commitment to solving your own problems…π₯π₯π₯
If you donβt have those things, youβre just going to sit at home.π
I captured this shot on the drive home, and I was reflecting on how we were talking about how great the trip was…. Because we couldβve totally been talking about how difficult it was and everything that went wrong. ππ
β‘οΈβ‘οΈβ‘οΈOn a scale of 1 to 10, how epic is your life with kids? 10 is the most epic and 1 is boring..
